I've had Bendix and Horton fans.the Hortons are always rattling, and when they lose air pressure or control function, they go to free wheel.then you have to get out and put the bolts through to make the fan drive. The Kysor (not positive on the brand) solenoid controling it is p/n 393249.
I've got a Bendix Torque Master fan drive on mine and love it! Part number is 104872. Thanks here a pic of the drive, so far the free junkyard spelunking has yeilded no matches.
The guy that had the truck before me just ran her open 'cause there's nothin' left of the old system. Does anybody know off hand PN, any make? for a ntc 350 small cam fan clutch for my 1975 KW900 It has the caddilac shutter stat in the tank and I just pulled the Rad for for a rework or core or whatever it needs and I was going to make a block off plate for the shutter stat and retrofit with a fan clutch.
